Introducing the full 2018 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival line-up
WORTHINGTON - It's still cold outside, but now is the time to start thinking ahead to summer, and what better way to do it but with sun, sails and some of the best music around! The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Music Festival is coming up fast, and with better music than ever!
This year's Regatta runs June 8 and 9, and will be one to remember. The Saturday night headliner is world-renowned, two-time Entertainer of the Year and a guy who sold more than 6 million records, Neal McCoy! His songs include Wink, Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On, and a masterful remake of Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye, as well as The Shake and No Doubt About It.
Neal McCoy will take the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday, June 9, but there's plenty of excitement before that to get things moving! Friday afternoon things begin with opening ceremonies at 5:30 p.m., then head straight into Drop Tailgate at 6 p.m. A blend of country, rock and pop music will get toes tapping and start the festival off on the right foot.
At 8:30 p.m. Friday, the 70's Magic Sunshine Band will bring us all back to the days of the Bay City Rollers, Hall & Oates, Three Dog Night and even the Partridges. With period-perfect costumes, high energy and the most memorable 70's hits, everyone will simply need to dance along.
On Saturday, the Shotgun Drama Junkies take the stage at 4 p.m. for a rousing round of classic rock, country and everything in between. At 7 p.m. Shane Martin will bring the crowd into a country rock mood, as the Minnesota-based singer and songwriter unleashes his energetic and infectious talent on the Worthington crowd.
And at 9 p.m., Neal McCoy takes the stage! A weekend full of excitement, fun and amazing talent - and it's all free! Mark your calendars and plan to attend the 2018 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Music Festival June 8 and 9 at Sailboard Beach in Worthington, MN.
The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Music Festival began in 1999, and has been a big success, bringing surfers from throughout the world. It has hosted three US National Windsurfing Championships.
