First State Bank Southwest donates $10,000 to Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation
WORTHINGTON - For the second year in a row, First State Bank Southwest pledged a $10,000 match for funds raised by the Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation. On Friday, Jeff Rotert, executive director of the Foundation, met with bank CEO Greg Raymo and President Mark Vis to receive the big check.
According to Rotert, the Foundation raised $11,580 in its campaign, due to the generosity of the community.
Raymo, who encourages others to support the Foundation, said it is critical that businesses and people continue to invest in the community to keep it vital and growing.
"We partner with the Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation, because it is our desire, like theirs, to invest in the future of our citizens, non-profits and communities we serve," Raymo said.
Organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, the mission of the Foundation is to promote the health, wellness and education of Worthington and the surrounding area. They fund grants for entities that help fulfill their mission, which includes supporting children's programs at the YMCA, offering scholarships for those being educated in the fields of healthcare, and much more.
