Disturbance at WHS: Juvenile with knife removed from school
WORTHINGTON - A juvenile with a knife was removed from the Worthington High School Friday morning, according to information released by Worthington Police Chief Troy Appel.
Appel states authorities were called to the school shortly before 9 a.m. for a call of a disturbance. While responding, officers were notified of several 911 calls, along with a panic alarm from the high school office.
Upon entering the school, officers were directed to a juvenile student with a knife, secluded in an office. The officers successfully subdued the juvenile, who was then transported by ambulance to Sanford Worthington Medical Center due to a self-inflicted wound.
