COVID-19 update for May 21
MINNESOTA-Another 33 people have died in the past 24 hours from COVID-19 across the state of Minnesota, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. The total of people who have died from the coronavirus is now as 842, with 688 of those deaths among cases that resided in a long term care facility. There are currently 534 people in the hospital due to COVID-19.
There were 813 newly reported cases, including 2 form Cottonwood County, 1 from Jackson County, and 15 from Nobles County. There were no new cases reported for Pipestone County.
Of the 19,005 confirmed positive cases across the state since January, 12,969 people no longer require isolations.
